Tetrahydrocannabinol, or THC is the principal psychoactive constituent of cannabis. THC has mild to moderate analgesic effects, and can be used to treat pain by altering the transmitter release on the dorsal root ganglion of the spinal cord. Commonly found in the Marijuana plant.
